The Art Museum in the Oak Park, where you can get in touch with the history of Asian people, even get something interesting for yourself
Every day when I walk to university I always pass near an old building and never notice it. This is an art gallery, which is situated in Oak Park not far from my university. This is a place, where paintings stored and sold to anyone, who wants to buy a work of well-known painters, and at the same time of not famous painters. Besides paintings, you can get jewelry, traditional clothes of nations in Central Asia, carpets, and, of course, souvenirs. In one word, this is a real art gallery, which is full of interesting things.
It's situated in the really nice place- in the Oak Park. From the outside it's not so beautiful and out of fix. The walls are pretty old and with old windows on the upper part of the side walls, which allows to light up the interior of the building.
Even though it's in a middle of a park, you would think that a lot of people come here, but trees surrounding a small building do not attract customers and regular visitors, who are interested in art. The other causes of the low number of visitors is a that the gallery is too far from the road, which makes it hard to park your car, and that there aren't a lot of people in the park during a day time, only busy people, who are being late to their jobs.
And the main things are inside of the building. As you enter inside of the art gallery, you notice a lot of different and colorful things. The first thought in your mind is how beautiful these things are. The gallery has only two halls: a small hall and a big hall. A small hall contains a lot of traditional clothes of Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Uzbek and other nations in Central Asia. There are a lot of souvenirs and jewelry as well. You can some small paintings and strange small statues. It's very interesting and is really helpful for the tourists, who are not familiar to Central Asian traditions. A big hall has only paintings and few carpets. It's very bright in a big hall and the vividness of the paintings makes a scene very beautiful. On the walls very accurately are hanged big and small paintings, which were on straight order. It was not so hard to know who was a painter, because one painter's works were in one place. All of these paintings were framed. But in the middle of the big hall there was a huge table, where were placed a bunch of paintings without frames and you could look through them and pick any of them and buy it.
It's one of the most valuable places in Bishkek in terms of culture of nations in Central Asia and it must be very attractive for tourists, but the conditions of the building does not allow a high number of visitors and buyers. The art is the treasure of world history and we have to appreciate places and people, who try to keep it for future generations.
