Thaksin - ready to pull Thai troops from Iraq

In the rash of countries pulling their troops back from Iraq, Thailand is now about to join Spain and The Dominical Republic in recalling their troops.
President Thaksin Shinawatra is on the homefront facing increasing demands to recall Thai troops, along with the goverment recieving a letter threattening Thailand with attacks like the one Spain experienced.

The 450 Thai troops have been doing humanitarian work in Karbala about 100km south of Baghdad since last year. Since the latest fighting the Thai soldiers have been confined to their base in Karbala.
