Bo keep getting e-mails for help with all kinds import projects. He is happy to help out anyone, but are tired of the people thinking Thai woman are consumer-goods.. While Thai woman probably are the most fantastic woman in the world, do not mistake them for being easy. (smile)
I constantly receive e-mails from white gentlemen who want help bringing a Thai woman to the USA. Some wondering if I can handle this for a fee. (say, why is it that I never get e-mails from white woman wanting to bring a Thai man to the USA, Thai men are at least as interesting and culturally agreeable as Thai woman are, and would probably make great husbands.)
So here's few thought and some answers.
Q: What do you charge for find me a woman in Thailand?
A: Nothing, I find the mail-order-bride idea entirely disgusting.. no need to ask me about this.
Q: What is the cheapest way to get a Thai bride, I have heard about $1000?
A: I have no idea and suggest you instead take SEVERAL trips to Thailand if you want to meet a Thai woman, this will let you get to know her and also let her family get to know you. It is the very least you can do to show respect for a woman you are thinking about spending your life with.
Q: Is it right that Thai woman is the least likely to leave me?
A: Culturally Thai does not leave from a marriage. However the woman who are adventures enough to come here to the USA to be with a man of a different culture, can pretty much also be counted on to stand up for them selves (I sure hope so). If you are worried about a woman putting up with you, maybe you need to address this issue first before you look for a girlfriend or even a wife, if a local girl is not going to stick around, chances are a Thai woman won't either.
My best suggestion for getting to know a Thai woman in the USA, short of traveling to Thailand, is going to the local temple, look in the phone book for a "Wat" or find the nearest one in the temple listing on www.thai-la.com. Be friendly and talk to anyone. Find some Thai restaurants you like and eat there regularly, make friends with the people and chances are you might learn more about the community. Regardless what approach you choose, it is going to take effort on your side to become familiar with the culture and community. I can highly recommend taking a Thai language class for beginners. Seriously, if you spend time with Thai people, and are a truely great guy, any woman in her right mind is sooner or later going to introduce you to somebody she thinks might be interested in meeting you.
If the effort to learn more about the Thai world is too much for you... you should seriously think about forgetting Thai woman. (and stop sending me redneck style e-mails looking for a cheap date) (smile) However if you are in the first place intrigued and challenged by the Thai culture..
